Description: Sherwood Forest was the retirement estate of John Tyler. Sherwood Forest is privately owned and maintained by President Tyler's grandson and his family, who still reside at the estate. The house is open to the public and is filled with family artifacts and was the home of Tyler descendants for over one-hundred-fifty years.
