Description: The home in which the Lincoln family lived for seventeen years before moving to Washington, DC. In 1844, Abraham Lincoln purchased the home for $1200 cash and a small lot valued at $300. This is a National Park Service Site which is open to the public.

Hours of Operation: Open from 8:30am to 5pm daily with extended spring, summer and fall hours. Tours of the Lincoln Home occur daily with the last tour beginning one-half hour before closing. The site is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas (December 25), and New Year's (January 1).
